1. Executive Summary & Policy Scope
Welcome to IAT-C7 Software Studio ("IAT-C7", "we", "us", "our", operated by Lead Software Architect Laxman Choudhary). We engineer high-performance bespoke digital solutions including custom progressive web applications, iOS and Android native apps, SaaS cloud systems, database architectures, and commercial e-commerce platforms.
This Refund and Cancellation Policy governs all commercial transactions, advance booking tokens, development milestones, retainer fees, and service agreements executed via our primary website (https://iat-c7.web.app), associated subdomains, payment gateways (Razorpay, UPI, NetBanking, IMPS/NEFT, International Cards), and direct electronic invoices.
2. Nature of Custom Software Engineering Services
Unlike mass-manufactured physical consumer goods, digital software architecture involves iterative, non-reusable labor, custom logic formulation, database modeling, and intellectual asset generation tailored specifically to the client's commercial requirements.
Consequently, once work has commenced on an approved scope of work ("SOW") or signed milestone agreement, time and compute power dedicated to the project cannot be recovered. However, to guarantee client satisfaction, transparency, and ethical business standards, IAT-C7 implements a structured 40-40-20 Milestone-Based Escrow & Release Model.
3. 40-40-20 Milestone-Based Refund Framework
Every project commissioned with IAT-C7 is subdivided into three distinct, transparent milestone phases. Refund eligibility is determined strictly by the current lifecycle stage of the project:
| Development Milestone | Payment Allocation | Deliverables Scope | Refund Eligibility Criteria |
|---|---|---|---|
| Stage 1: Architecture & Scope Blueprint | 40% Advance Token | Requirement analysis, schema design, UI/UX Cupertino design mockups, server provisioning, technical roadmap. | Eligible for 70% Refund if cancelled within 24 hours of payment before architectural designs are generated. Once wireframes & schemas are submitted, advance token becomes non-refundable. |
| Stage 2: Core Development & Cloud DB | 40% Mid-Phase Milestone | Full-stack frontend/backend coding, API pipeline integration, Firebase real-time database, interactive sandbox staging build. | Partial Pro-Rata Refund (Up to 30%) applicable only if IAT-C7 fails to demonstrate functional staging progress within agreed SLA timeline without external blocker. |
| Stage 3: Launch, Handover & IP Transfer | 20% Final Settlement | Production server deployment, custom domain binding, SSL installation, complete unminified source code handover, GitHub repository transfer. | Strictly Non-Refundable once final source code is delivered, private repository ownership is handed over, or domain is deployed live. |
4. Strictly Non-Refundable Expenditures
Certain direct project expenses incurred by IAT-C7 on behalf of the client are third-party non-recoverable disbursements and are exempt from any refund or chargeback under all circumstances:
- Domain Registrations & DNS Leases: Custom domains purchased via ICANN-accredited registrars (e.g. .com, .in, .org, .net, .co.in) are instant permanent purchases bound to the client.
- Third-Party API & Cloud Server Costs: Dedicated Cloud VMs, AWS / Google Cloud infrastructure, Firebase Blaze pay-as-you-go consumption, Twilio / MSG91 SMS gateway packs, and WhatsApp Cloud Business API activation costs.
- Developer License & Publisher Console Fees: Google Play Console ($25 one-time developer fee), Apple Developer Program ($99/year), or Microsoft Partner Center registrations.
- Specialized Premium Commercial Fonts or Third-Party Vectors: Licensed assets procured exclusively for the client's proprietary branding.
5. 30-Day Engineering Warranty & Free Defect Resolution
To eliminate financial risk for our clients, IAT-C7 provides an industry-leading Complimentary 30-Day Post-Launch Engineering Warranty on all delivered custom web and mobile applications:
Warranty Scope Limitations:
- Warranty covers original agreed scope of work only. New feature requests, structural redesigns, or third-party service deprecation after handover are treated as new billable milestones.
- Warranty is void if third-party developers, client personnel, or unvetted contractors modify the core repository, delete Firestore security rules, or alter production server configurations without written authorization from IAT-C7.
6. Cancellation Timelines & Procedure
Clients wishing to terminate an active contract must submit a formal written cancellation notice through one of our authorized channels:
- Step 1: Send an email to
verifyiatc7@gmail.comorlaxmanchoudhary.dev@gmail.comwith the Subject Line: "Contract Cancellation Request - [Project Ref ID] - [Client Name]". - Step 2: State the explicit technical or business rationale for termination alongside supporting documentation.
- Step 3: The Lead Architect and Accounts Department will review project audit logs, time tracking sheets, and git commit histories within 3 business days.
- Step 4: If eligible under Section 3, the approved net refund amount (minus non-refundable third-party disbursements and completed milestone hours) will be calculated and communicated.
7. Refund Processing & Bank Reversal Timelines
Once an official refund determination is confirmed in writing:
- Payment Mode Reversal: Refunds are processed exclusively to the original payment source (Razorpay UPI, Debit/Credit Card, NetBanking Account, or Bank Transfer) used during the transaction. Cash refunds are strictly prohibited.
- Settlement SLA: In accordance with RBI banking clearance guidelines and Razorpay payment gateway settlement cycles, funds will reflect in the client's bank account within 5 to 7 working business days.
- Transaction Receipt: An official credit note and bank reversal UTR number will be issued to the client via email and WhatsApp.
8. Client Inactivity & Abandoned Project Protocol
Smooth software delivery requires active client collaboration for content provision, API credentials, feedback iterations, and milestone approvals.
9. Fraud Prevention & Chargeback Dispute Protocol
IAT-C7 maintains rigorous digital transaction logs, IP logs, signed scope documents, time-stamped chat transcripts, and encrypted Firestore audit trails for every project.
In the event of an unjustified chargeback or fraudulent bank dispute filed by a client without prior adherence to this policy's resolution procedure:
- All active cloud hosting instances, domain bindings, and API pipelines will be instantly suspended.
- The client's commercial license to use delivered code, graphics, and trademarks will be immediately revoked.
- Complete audit logs, payment slips, and code delivery commits will be submitted to the acquiring bank, Razorpay Risk Assessment Unit, and competent legal authorities under the Information Technology Act, 2000 (India).
